Collected book papers and vintage fabrics hand stitched together to create these decorative dresses.

SHOES

Paper, fabric and wire are moulded together to comprise little shoes that come as a pair, wrapped and sealed within a box. These special keep sakes make perfect gifts for christenings or birthdays.

CUP CAKES

Embroidered silk organza and paper cup cakes intended for decoration within the home.

PAINTINGS

Layered papers, fabrics, buttons and threads are combined together through hand and machine stitch, creating detailed paintings of decadent objects and accessories. Items such as old perfume bottles, shoes, jewellery, cutlery and crockery that perhaps have either been misplaced or discarded are rummaged out and made the focus of my drawing work.

CANVASES

Traditional techniques of painting are explored upon canvas, and they come in all different shapes and sizes to hang on any wall within the home. Imagery of collected tea cups, flowers, shoes and jewellery define a romantic, feminine touch of nostalgia.

MEDIA

Traditional embroidery techniques include blanket stitch and straight stitch alongside using the sewing machine. Layering and manipulating various surface textures through painterly and hand stitch processes creates an aged and worn appearance within my work.
